Woohoo! This doll meet was a blast. It’s been ages since I’ve been to one. Almost two years to be exact. And to my surprise, there were more new faces than those I’ve known from previous gatherings. It was all good though. Got to see new dolls and made new friends!

Anyway, we ended up arriving late to this meet due to the sudden downpour which also gave rise to flooded areas. Areas where vehicles had a hard time crossing in. Thus, unexpected (annoying) traffic jams got in the way. But thankfully, the rain stopped when we arrived at the venue in Metrowalk. Since it rained, no one from our group dared to bring out their dolls to places without a roof. So we just stayed within the icecream cafe, Icebergs, the whole time.

She arrived! After roughly a year of hoping to add this girl to my collection, she finally arrived! This is I-no from the fighting game Guilty Gear.

I couldn’t wait to get her out of the box…

She looks so shiny and very well-made. The details were carefully crafted.

This isn’t a figure shoot. I still have to think of a concept that would match her persona. Any suggestions?

Anyway. she was also the character I cosplayed on the 1st day of the Toy Con last June 16, 2008!

This is my second figure of Rei Ayanami. I just can’t get enough of her. ^_^

Anyway, let me start off with the pose of this figure. It is pretty much something different from most of the figures that are standing upright. Her pose is what really drew me to her. Other than that, she is detachable from the base she is sitting on. She can probably be made to sit somewhere else if preferred.

As for the paintjob, there are a few flaws. Just tiny stray dots that are not really noticeable unless macro lenses are used when shooting her. The white paint on her plugsuit is pearlized.

Done under natural lighting (sun) with very minimal editing. Close to none. I got her from Maxicollector.

I’ve seen this figure before in photos and was awed. But when I saw this figure in person, I was speechless. The details, the paint job, the pose, the base, etc are just perfect. I could not point out anything negative about this figure no matter how many times I’ve looked and examined her.

The paint job is very neat. I don’t see any stray paintines. The gradations on her wings are very well-done too. There are parts that have been glossed such as the wings and a few parts of her armor that give it a sense of variety than just fully flat.

The base is sturdy. She has no tendency on leaning despite her standing on a single leg. Other than being sturdy, the base is wonderfully designed as well.

Anyway, overall, she’s another great addition to anyone’s figure collection. ^_^

Nasca (Nasuka)
Shunya Yamashita Moments & Characters Vol. 2 Nasuka 1/7 Figure

This is another figure designed by one of my favorite artists, Shunya Yamashita. The design is nice by itself but the figure did justice to every detail shown in the illustration. What’s great about it is how the details are executed well. I was really impressed when I saw this figure in person because I have been waiting for her for months and the only photos I’ve seen of her were not owner-photos. The details can’t be seen clearly in those pics. But the intricacy can all be seen when you see her up close.

The paint job is very clean. No stray lines and extra residues. Eyes are well placed. Some parts are glossed, such as the ribbon on her hair and part of her blouse. Her goggles made use of transparent plastic. The things that can be detached are her sword and the stand connecting her to the base. Her wings are stuck to her permanently. (Unless you pull them out of course)

Her pose seems kinda…sexy. Haha, but as with most designs by Shunya, this is nothing new. Her girls are mostly sexy cute with a touch of being a bit bad-ass because of their giant swords and armor.

Overall, whether or not your a Shunya fan, this figure is definitely a great addition.

PS: I made the bg using rubber foam, foil and pink transparent plastic.

This is Schiezka Noire, my 2nd BJD. She is a DELF Tanning Lishe from Luts.
But it seems that they don’t produce these kinds of dolls anymore (tanned skin).

I recently sewed her new clothes and made new accessories. A friend of mine also got me a new white wig and a pair of orange glass
eyes for her. I restrung her body and fixed her face-up (make up for dolls). Yay~

Tanned girls with white hair are really hot. And the end product of styling made her look like Storm of X-Men~
My first BJD is Astaria Lexi who looks like Victoria of Twilight here.

After roughly two to three years of not being able to post here, we’re back! This photo of Astaria Lexi (DOT Shall) was taken in Greenbelt 3 on April 26, 2009. I’ll leave you guys with this photo for now. In the mean time, we have a lot to catch up on what we’ve missed all this time. See you guys at the BJD meet on Saturday!

The details on this little dude are amazing. Every angle looks great and I just love the stance of this figure. The mount and gnome are held up by a metal rod in the center connected to the base. It is pretty stable. The ends of the engines of the mount has been painted with a gradient of purple to blue which is a nice touch to the metal-looking surfaces. Personally, I think it is a nice addition to one’s collection. That is if you are not collecting all WoW action figures.
